Phono Solar and Symbior Energy sign MoU for 40MW PV project in Thailand
Phono Solar and Symbior Energy, has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding regarding a strategic cooperation for the development of a 40MW PV project in Thailand. Both parties agreed to develop, design, construct and provide financing channels for the project.
Following the announcement of its "BRICS Strategy" last summer, Phono Solar entered the South American market in July 2012. Phono Solar considers its cooperation with Symbior Energy another step towards new markets, continuing its development in the Asia Pacific region. As a first phase, the two parties will develop an 8MW project in 2013, before a further 8MW scheduled per year.
Mr. Cai Jibo, Chairman of Phono Solar, said, "We are very happy to forge this partnership with Symbior Energy, which delivers sustainable energy solutions that foster growth in developing countries. As co-investor and module supplier, we do hope this project can help us open the gate to the Thai renewables market, and continue development in the Asia Pacific market.''
