NEXTracker Selects Flextronics for Volume Production of Transformational SPT Controllers

Flextronics has been selected by NEXTracker for high volume manufacturing of its innovative Self-Powered Tracker (SPT) controllers.  Flextronics will manufacture the SPT control units at its advanced Milpitas production facility in the heart of Silicon Valley.  Flextronics' extensive manufacturing expertise, coupled with adherence to stringent, industry specific quality standards, will enable NEXTracker to execute a rapid commercial rollout of SPT.

"Flextronics is proud to be NEXTracker's manufacturing partner, helping them to deliver innovative tracking technology to their fast-growing customer base," said Scott Graybeal, senior vice president, Energy at Flextronics.  "NEXTracker's transformational trackers are being deployed by leading solar companies worldwide; we're delighted to play a key role in supporting NEXTracker's delivery to key projects around the world. Flextronics' Milpitas, California and Guadalajara, Mexico production facilities are well-equipped to service this large and growing demand."

"Thanks to their best-in-class fabrication, testing and quality assurance capabilities, Flextronics is the ideal partner to accelerate volume manufacturing of our game-changing SPT product," said NEXTracker CEO Dan Shugar.   "We have been working closely with Flextronics over the last six months to support our expansion, initially at Milpitas, and later other locations near customers around the world.  This partnership affords NEXTracker greater access to rapid and robust scalability, allowing us to meet the tremendously fast-growing demand for our SPT units."

NEXTracker's technology is proven to be a cost-effective solution to maximize solar project returns. Advanced features address and overcome layout constraints, significantly reduce the number of foundations and steel, eliminate stress on the drive components by aligning modules with the axis of rotation and simplify AC wiring requirements.
