A Sunny Railroad Solution
Kyocera and TESSCO announce partnership to launch and distribute standard railroad solar power systems
Kyocera Solar, Inc. is pleased to announce that TESSCO Technologies Incorporated has become its official distribution partner for a new line of standard solar power systems targeted to the railroad market. Kyocera's standard railroad solar power systems, RR 24/7, have undergone recent design enhancements providing even higher quality, ease of installation, and product performance longevity.
With over 20 years of railroad product design and installation experience, Kyocera Solar developed the RR 24/7 product line to meet the unique demands of the railroad industry. These upgraded systems come as part of Kyocera's market initiative, “Sunlight to Service,” to provide quality off-grid solutions for the industrial market. Kyocera's solar panels and all components of the RR 24/7 product line are UL certified, backed by warranty, and specifically designed and engineered to ensure the quality and performance of the product.
Kyocera and TESSCO announce the key distribution agreement between the two companies for sales of railroad solar power systems, whereby TESSCO sells Kyocera solar power products through its network of reseller and end-user channels. The dependable design of the pre-packaged railroad solar power systems is expected to yield outstanding reliability, and will include all installation components and a complete documentation package. Together, Kyocera and TESSCO will provide easy-to-use products and on-time delivery for customers in search of innovative solar applications.
“This is an exciting announcement for TESSCO as we expand our solar power products that are targeted for the railroad industry,” said TESSCO Senior Vice President of Solutions Development and Product Management Jerry Garland. “The addition of Kyocera's world-class solar products is expected to complement our current offering, as well as to help further extend our reach into the ever-evolving industrial market.”
The partnership with TESSCO will allow Kyocera Solar, Inc. to provide a growing range of railroad power solutions employing the latest in off-grid photovoltaic solar technology.
“Continuous improvements in technology and manufacturing efficiency are making solar power practical in an ever-growing range of markets,” said Kyocera Solar, Inc. President Steve Hill. “In many remote applications, such as railroad equipment and wireless infrastructure, Kyocera's solar electric generating systems now represent the most practical, reliable and cost-effective solution on the market.”
