Structural success for backsheet company
The first few months of 2013 came in well above the expectations of ISOVOLTAIC AG, a leading manufacturer of backsheets for PV modules. The company had already responded last year to the turnaround in the photovoltaic market and had successfully adjusted its structure to this difficult market situation.
The year began very positively. Incoming orders in the 1st quarter 2013 were significantly above budget. As a result, the production and finishing sites in Austria and China are very well utilized and working in multi-shift operation.
In addition to the strengthened headquarters in Lebring/Austria, where the company's core competencies including R&D and production are pooled, ISOVOLTAIC is increasingly positioning itself in the Asiatic market in order to offer optimum service to its customers there.
Besides the existing company Changzhou Isovoltaic Composite Materials Co., Ltd. (China), ISOVOLTAIC Asia-Pacific Ltd. with its registered office in Hong Kong was established as ISOVOLTAIC's hub in Asia. We will be opening another site in China as ISOVOLTAIC (Suzhou) Composite Materials Co., Ltd. in autumn 2013. In addition to existing activities, this will enable us to further expand the final assembly of our ICOSOLAR backsheets and encapsulation materials. We are also working intensively on expanding our sales and supply chain activities in India and Japan.
