Qualitas Energy acquires a 96 MW wind energy project pipeline in Germany

News

Qualitas Energy, a global investment and management platform focused on renewable energy, energy transition, and sustainable infrastructure investment, announced the successful acquisition of a wind energy project pipeline with a total capacity of 96 MW.

The acquisition includes a development portfolio consisting of four wind

projects: one located in the Cologne region of North Rhine-Westphalia, two situated in the Heidekreis district, and one in the Uelzen region, within Lower Saxony. All of them have a combined capacity of 96 MW and will supply electricity to more than 64,000 households.

This strategic transaction strengthens the position of Qualitas Energy Deutschland GmbH as a leading German player in the acquisition, development, construction, and operation of onshore wind parks.

“Optimally positioned to achieve our ambitious goals, Qualitas Energy possesses comprehensive expertise and internal capabilities across the entire value chain of renewable energies. This underscores our dedication to making a substantial contribution to the energy transition in Germany, aligning with Qualitas Energy’s sustainable growth strategy,” confirms Johannes Overbeck, Head of Investments of Qualitas Energy Deutschland GmbH.

Qualitas Energy is dedicated to expanding its wind energy portfolio in Germany, aiming to surpass 6 GW while expediting the execution of development projects. The focal points of this endeavor include maintaining exceptionally high standards in in-house project development.

Commitment to high quality and collaborative project development

In the pursuit of responsible project execution, Qualitas Energy places paramount emphasis on close and transparent collaboration with local stakeholders. This dedication is further exemplified through the assignment of dedicated contact persons for landowners, residents, communities, and authorities, highlighting a robust commitment to effective communication.

To fortify its local engagement, Qualitas Energy strategically positions six offices across project regions in Germany, ensuring a pervasive and accessible presence. This network not only demonstrates a commitment to proximity but also underscores the company’s dedication to staying closely connected with local communities.

Furthermore, Qualitas Energy takes a comprehensive approach by implementing a diverse array of value-driven engagement measures. These initiatives are carefully tailored to address the specific needs of individual communities, showcasing a nuanced understanding of local contexts.

The company’s commitment extends to municipal participation in compliance with §6 EEG for existing parks, reinforcing Qualitas Energy’s dedication to fostering a cooperative and sustainable partnership with local communities.

This requirement not only aligns with regulatory standards but also serves as a tangible expression of the company’s commitment to enduring collaboration.

Qualitas Energy Deutschland GmbH is part of Qualitas Energy, which is committed to the transition to a decarbonized economy and focuses on the acquisition, financing, project development, construction, and operation of onshore wind turbines with a team of more than 250 employees in Berlin, Hamburg, Wiesbaden, Trier, Cologne, and Stuttgart.
