Intersolar News: Phono Solar launches Storage Solution
Phono Solar, renewable energy solutions manufacturer, has announced the launch of the Enercube at Intersolar 2013.
The Phono Solar Enercube is a storage solution designed to boost the efficiency of a photovoltaic system and is currently available in Germany, Europe's leading PV market. The Enercube stores power generated by a PV system during the day and feeds it into the household power supply during the evening, when most power-consuming products run. The system utilises high-quality and long-life lithium iron phosphate batteries. During the summer, an Enercube and PV system work together to cover all the energy needs of a household. For the rest of the year, the system generates 30% to 65% of a home's energy usage.
When integrated into a system, the Enercube feeds any excess power generated to the grid. Its lithium iron phosphate batteries are directly connected to the DC link in the PV inverter, and allow high levels of efficiency in the Enercube, whilst the intelligent management system balances energy generation, storage and supply.
Mariana Hall, Vice President of Phono Solar, said: "The Phono Solar Enercube is ideal for all those who are planning to buy a photovoltaic system, or those who have already installed a system after 2012. The 9.6 kWh storage capacity of the Enercube is enormous and will easily manage the energy needs of 2-5 person households. The product, designed in Germany, offers both attractive stainless steel casing and a fantastic feature set. An LCD display provides a quick overview of all performance characteristics and all relevant monitoring data can also be easily accessed via a smartphone or PC."
Hall continued: "We're delighted to once again be present at Intersolar Europe. Europe is, and will remain, a key market for Phono Solar's global renewable energy vision. At Intersolar 2013, we will demonstrate to the industry the innovation, creativity and reliability offered by our solutions."
