SolarMax announces new string inverters for solar power plants
SolarMax has announced the launch of HT string inverters, suitable for solar power plants on commercial and industrial roofs. At Intersolar Europe, this market segment was characterized by its huge growth potential. The market research company IHS assumes that the share of commercial PV power plants will increase to 40 percent until 2017. More than half of the plants newly built in Europe in 2014 will be in the commercial sector. In this, power plant planners face the challenge of implementing cost-optimized systems with high levels of availability and efficiency. The new SolarMax HT inverters meet these criteria. They can be used flexibly in these plants and bring a high degree of cost efficiency thanks to the low system costs and high yields.
The HT string inverters will be available in three models with 4 MPP trackers with a power output of 30kW or 32kW (30HT4 / 32HT4), as well as a version with 2 MPP trackers and a power output of 32kW (32HT2).
Thanks to the multi-tracking concept of the inverters, ideal operation of each individual partial generator is guaranteed even in the event of highly sophisticated configurations and partial shading. Additionally, the gaps between the rows of the individual modules can be reduced to increase the yields per surface unit.
