M+W Group surpasses 1GW milestone for large scale commercial PV projects

The M+W Group has achieved a key milestone in its continued evolution as one of the world's leading EPC companies (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) for solar photovoltaics (PV). With its portfolio of completed and active construction projects, the company has surpassed 1 gigawatt (GW) installed capacity of utility and large commercial projects worldwide. The equivalent of 1GW of solar can offset the power consumption of up to 100,000 homes annually, or up to 1 million tons of CO2 emissions per year of operation.

While much of its completed capacity is in the United States, M+W Group continues to expand its global energy presence, building upon the more than 100MW of utility-scale projects it has constructed in various European, Middle Eastern, and Asia-Pacific markets.  The company also remains one of the leading providers of O&M (Operations and Maintenance) services, with over 200MW of projects under its continuing management throughout the globe.

Jim Brown, President of M+W Energy stated, "We are very proud to have surpassed the 1GW milestone.  Our success has been built on the basis of sound design value and good risk management practices for our customers.  Our focus remains forward-looking as we continue to drive the evolution of our business.  We are committed to expanding our value-added offerings to help our development customers and partners realize their project portfolios and explore next generation solutions at nearly any location around the globe."

As an independent EPC contractor, M+W Group designs and builds commercial and utility photovoltaic power plants for Fortune 1000 companies, utilities, developers, and government agencies worldwide. Leveraging decades of history in solar engineering, procurement, construction, and operations and maintenance, the company works to maximize an economic return and sustainable benefits for its clients.
