SOLARWATT names new Sales Manager for Britain
SOLARWATT, German manufacturer of photovoltaic systems, has appointed Bobbie Wright as Britain's Sales Manager to serve growing demand for the company's glass-glass solar PV panels and oversee the launch of its groundbreaking MyReserve battery storage system for home and business.
The appointment of Ms Wright, an experienced solar industry professional who has held successive senior sales positions with solar and energy storage businesses, reflects growing interest among UK installers, distributors and end users in SOLARWATT's range of German-manufactured products.
"SOLARWATT is now the clear leader in quality, innovation and performance and I look forward to ensuring the market is well served and understands our products and service offering," said Ms Wright.
"I welcome Bobbie to the company as it is a vital time for us," said Pol Spronck, International Sales Manager, who will remain responsible for sales in Ireland and Northern Ireland. "We are growing strongly and now have 315 employees worldwide. The UK is a key market for us and we intend to match that growth here."
Last week SOLARWATT won the prestigious "ees Award 2017" for its new MyReserve Matrix battery. The top-level innovation award was presented at the annual ees / Intersolar Europe trade fair for future-oriented developments in the power storage market. SOLARWATT also won the prize in 2015 for the first-generation MyReserve.
MyReserve has been recognised by several awards in 2017, including Manager Magazine in co-operation with the German CleanTech Institute, EuPD Research, PV Magazine and readers of the trade magazine, elektroBörse smarthouse. SOLARWATT was also awarded the "Top Brand PV" for its PV modules by the market and economic research company, EuPD, and won the PV Magazine Award.
