LG Electronics extends product guarantees for modules

News

LG Solar customers and partners who choose LG Electronics' MonoX Plus and Neon 2 modules will now benefit from an extended product warranty "“ from twelve to fifteen years. This creates a further incentive for customers to buy LG products, and underlines once again LG's quality standards as a globally respected manufacturer of high-quality product solutions. For both modules, LG warrants an actual power output of no less than 98 per cent for a period of one year from the start of the guarantee. From the second year, the actual average annual pay for the remaining 24 years will not decrease by more than 0.5 per cent "“ this way, by the end of the 25th year the actual output for the MonoX Plus and NeON 2 solar modules is guaranteed to be at least 86 per cent.

LG offers above-average performance and product warranties compared to the industry on the whole, as the modules undergo rigorous testing throughout the production process. They are tested four times as intensively as prescribed by the IEC standard, and therefore meet the strictest quality criteria. LG is the first company in the world to operate its own solar tests, which are certified by four major inspection bodies, including TÜV Rheinland and Intertek.

"LG Solar modules combine attractive design with high-performance PV technology and offer our customers and partners the highest level of security in their investment through the extended warranty," said Michael Harre, vice president of the EU Solar Business Group at LG Electronics Germany. "With this we again underline the LG quality promise, which is appreciated by installers worldwide."
