AMP Clean Energy partners with Segen to boost UK solar energy opportunities

News

AMP Clean Energy is working in partnership with Segen Ltd to enable solar installers to offer more businesses and organisations access to low cost, zero carbon, solar energy.

The initiative brings together AMP Clean Energy, which provides the funding and expertise to develop low carbon heat and power projects, and Segen which is an international wholesale distributor of solar PV and energy storage solutions from some of the world’s leading manufacturers.

Many solar energy projects come up against financial or knowledge barriers which can lead them to stall. With readily available flexible funding and expertise in developing and delivering low carbon projects, AMP Clean Energy is able to help with both these issues.

AMP Clean Energy already owns and operates over 160 low carbon projects, representing over £100 million in capital deployed. AMP Clean Energy offers Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) which provide predictably priced solar electricity over the long term, generated by solar panels installed on customers’ roofs or land.

Francisco Cabadas, Head of Solar at AMP Clean Energy. said: “We are delighted to be working with Segen to help unlock the barriers many installers face in ensuring they maximise their solar PV projects. By doing so, we can help more businesses and organisations take advantage of the financial and sustainability benefits of solar energy.”

Liz MacFarlane, Director at Segen, said: “Both AMP Clean Energy and Segen are leaders in their respective fields and between us we will support installers to increase, or take, their solar energy opportunities to the next level. In turn, this will help solar energy to fulfil its potential in the transition to net zero.”
