k-Space receives multi-million-dollar metrology order
k-Space Associates, Inc. has announced a series of new sales agreements with a leading American solar panel manufacturer for industrial metrology solutions. The combined value of the sales agreements is “several million dollars,” according to the company.
k-Space has worked closely with this solar panel manufacturer designing and delivering innovative turnkey industrial metrology solutions to determine overall panel quality and thin-film characteristics. The k-Space metrology solutions will be deployed across the customer’s global manufacturing operations.
k-Space CEO Darryl Barlett stated, “This project is a great example of how k Space collaborates with its customers to help them improve their manufacturing processes and ultimately manufacture a superior product.” He added, “Our engineers love the challenge of adapting our metrology solutions to fit unique customer applications.”
Solar panel manufacturers must continuously monitor production to meet device performance requirements while minimizing manufacturing costs. k-Space’s patented solutions allow users to seamlessly integrate the metrology tools into their manufacturing line to measure everything from defect density to part dimensions to optical properties. k Space also provides similar customized metrology solutions for thin-film, semiconductor, glass, auto, and other industries.
