Innolas And 4JET Announce Cooperation

News
Thin film solar cell joint venture

German machine suppliers 4JET GmbH (Alsdorf near Aachen) and Innolas Systems GmbH (Krailling near Munich) announce a cooperation agreement. The suppliers of machinery for mechanical and laser based processing of thin-film solar panels intend to cooperate in global sales, technical after-sales service and selected R+D programs.

Both companies have gathered an extensive track record in the thin-film industry over the past years. Innolas is a worldwide leading supplier of systems for mechanical or laser based structuring of thin-film solar panels, while 4JET has specialised on laser edge deletion, removal of contact pads and laser based drilling of solar glass. With a combined customer base of over 30 thin-film panel manufacturers on 3 continents, the companies have a solid basis for future growth. No other supplier of the relevant processes offered has such a wide range of production equipment proven in multiple installations. Solutions are offered for all dominant thin-film technologies (a- Si/μc-Si, CiS/CIGS and CdTe).

The cooperation will cover several areas. In selected markets, especially in some Asian countries, joint sales and service structures will be created. On a technical level, customers of Innolas and 4JET can now benefit from matching solutions for selected processing tasks, as well as unified peripherals.
