Ultrasonic Systems Receives Order For Multiple PV-360s

News
Chinese customer takes 20
Ultrasonic Systems, Inc. (USI), manufacturer of ultrasonic spray coating equipment for solar applications, has announced another multi-system order for their third generation PV-360 for the in-line thermal diffusion process from a customer based in China. The large order is for 20 PV-360 coating systems which apply a uniform, thinner coating of phosphoric acid, boric acid, and other proprietary dopants at high-volume production scale

“We are very pleased with our growing success with solar manufacturers, who are embracing technologies that improve the quality, efficiency, throughput, and reliability of their solar cells,” said Stuart Erickson, President of Ultrasonic Systems, “These latest orders reflect the success we have had applying our proven nozzle-less ultrasonic spray technology to meet the demanding  production requirements of our solar customers.”

Optimized for high-volume, in-line manufacturing, the PV-360 can process up to 4,300 wafers (125mm) per hour. The PV-360 increases manufacturing quality, efficiency, throughput, and reliability for in-line thermal diffusion as well as laser doped selective emitter (LDSE) processes.
