Fraunhofer Study Looks At Leading Yields

Solar power installations equipped with Solar Fabrik AG modules generate outstanding annual energy yields. The recent study entitled "Power Check 2011" carried out by the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (ISE) in Freiburg has once again confirmed this. Several analyses performed since 2003 have repeatedly shown that these installations generate exceptionally good energy yields. This most recent report provides new evidence of the continued improvements in yield over past years.

Within this study, Fraunhofer ISE examined the data of 220 solar power plants across Germany equipped with Solar-Fabrik AG modules, evaluated them by location and analyzed their performance. The feed-in units billed to each energy supply company between 2005 and 2010 were taken as the basis for evaluation.

Fraunhofer ISE concludes in its report: "Power Check 2011 has demonstrated, yet again, that installations equipped with Solar-Fabrik components [.] deliver excel-lent overall results. Such results can only be achieved with the use of high-quality modules and inverters, good plant design, professional installation and virtually error-free operation."

"The results confirm yet again that the high quality standards we set ourselves truly pay-off for our customers," stresses Karl-Heinz Dernbecher, Vice President Sales at Solar-Fabrik AG. "Our quality management and the constant further development of production technology provide a reliable safety net for their investments. But the results are also a sign of recognition for our partner companies, who set themselves apart with an outstanding quality of plant design and construction."

Moreover, the study confirms the very high level of plant efficiency, also known as the "Performance Ratio": "The best installations achieve values of over 85% and thus equal the efficiency of professional, large-scale solar power plants."
