Normandy Project For Martifer Solar

News
Martifer Solar, subsidiary of Martifer SGPS, announced the conclusion of a 5 MWp project located on the seashore of Veules Les Roses, in the Normandy Region (France). To complete this photovoltaic project, owned by Leonidas Associates IV GmbH & Co. KG, a Germany based investment fund, specialist for investments in renewable energies and water projects, Martifer Solar has overcome not only a demanding 12 weeks deadline for its construction and connection to the grid, but also the challenge of preserving the onsite Second World War galleries and bunkers, which have been converted into Operations Room.

According to David Osório Mota, Martifer Solar's France Country Manager, "This project presented several difficulties, but in Martifer Solar we love challenges and we have the experience and backup to offer solutions tailored to fit each client's needs and to make a success of any photovoltaic project from big ground plants to micro-generation installations".

Martifer Solar has been responsible of the EPC of this plant, developing it from its project stage to its connection and supplying all the equipment, its installation and the Operation and Maintenance of the facility.  21,400 solar panels on fixed structures covering an area of 11 hectares have been installed in this outstanding solar park that will produce clean energy to supply more than 1,000 homes and avoid the emission of near 3,000 CO2 tons to the atmosphere.
