Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission Cuts Rebate

According to
its website, the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission will pay PV plants
commissioned after 28 January a rate of 9.98 rupees per kilowatt-hour for the
first 12 years. Solar plants finished before the deadline receive 15 rupees.
The rate will be further reduced to 7 rupees per kilowatt-hour for the next 13
years.




For Solar-thermal
projects, on Gujarat raised the rate for solar-thermal and fixed it for 25
years. These projects will be paid 11.55 rupees per kilowatt-hour, and they
won't see a reduction from 11 rupees to 4 rupees after 12 years, as was
previously planned.
