SolarMax commits to Australian PV industry
Swiss inverter manufacturer Sputnik Engineering has commenced distributing SolarMax inverters in Australia. In Europe, the SolarMax has provided grid-connected solar inverters for more than 20 years. With its new branch office in Sydney, managed by Daniel Freudiger, General Manager of Sputnik Engineering International AG, SolarMax wants to provide its customers in Australia with more service and flexibility to meet the market-specific requirements. Within the framework of the All Energy conference on 10 and 11 October in Melbourne, Australia, SolarMax will present its string and central inverters, as well as monitoring solutions for all plant sizes.
"Australia is an exciting market for photovoltaics - and has a huge growth potential. Our goal is to support Australia in the development of renewable energies, first and foremost in the field of small PV plants," explains Daniel Freudiger, General Manager of Sputnik Engineering International AG. "Our values ,Swiss Quality' and ,reliability' are already established with many international partnerships. We believe that these will also be valued by installers, solar technicians, project planners, as well as solar plant operators in Down Under."
Gavin Merchant, Key Account Manager Australia, will be responsible for supporting and acquiring customers on site. He is responsible for promoting the collaboration with local installers and dealers, and for increasing the sales of SolarMax products with the focus on the field of private PV plants.
Last year, SolarMax successfully opened a branch office in China; since the beginning of 2012, there are also two new locations in Greece and Bulgaria. Several successful projects were already implemented in Australia as well. By opening the branch office in Australia, SolarMax aims to be closer to the Australian market and its customers. This way, SolarMax reinforces its international business relationships and continues its global expansion strategy.
