US company Invenergy looks at Montenegro PV plant
Invenergy, a leading US clean energy company, is interested in building the first 5-10MW solar power plant in Montenegro, and in evaluating the potential of MoraÄa, Kamarnica and MaoÄa rivers, President of the company Michael Polski said at the meeting with Montenegro's Prime Minister Igor LukÅ¡ić earlier today.
He stressed on that occasion that Montenegro has built a healthy business environment with many opportunities for investments in the field of energy, representing a new development opportunity for the company which has already been present in the USA, Canada and Europe.
PM Lukšić reiterated that Montenegro is committed to establishing an environment attractive to new investments.
"Energy is one of the strategic priorities of our economy and we will endeavour to, through new investments, provide full valorisation of these potentials. The sector of energy offers numerous opportunities and there are more and more interested investors," he added.
Chicago-based Invenergy, is currently implementing around 6 600MW of various energy projects and is developing around 15 000 MW of new ones.
