IBC Solar strenghtens Solsquare partnership in Namibia

News

IBC SOLAR has announced a partnership with Solsquare Energy (Pty) Ltd. The Namibia-based solar power specialist now is IBC SOLAR's exclusive distribution partner for the Namibian PV market. The agreement marks a step for both companies to strengthen their long-time relationship.

As official IBC SOLAR Premium Partner, Solsquare will exclusively distribute the German high-quality solutions in southwest-African Namibia. Both parties benefit from this mutual agreement: IBC SOLAR benefits from the market know-how of its local partner, the insights into market structures and conditions, whilst Solsquare has the guarantee of a reliable supply of high-quality products and services.

Solsquare is specialised in turn-key installed PV systems for the residential and commercial sector. The company runs a warehouse and offers complete system engineering and installation, but also supplies smaller installation companies with solar systems. In Namibia, solar energy is used in a variety of areas ranging from agriculture and businesses to private households. In most cases, the energy is used for self-consumption rather than fed into the local grid. Prime examples are water pumping systems which are an important segment for the solar industry in Namibia, and as such one of the key areas for Solsquare and IBC SOLAR.

"The Namibian photovoltaic market is very dynamic. There is a considerable demand for durable and efficient solutions. IBC SOLAR and Solsquare share a downright commitment to always delivering the best available quality. This makes the partnership not only fruitful for both companies, but most of all beneficial for the customers," says Antje Anzi, Director International Sales at IBC SOLAR. Leonhard Eins, Managing Director at Solsquare, adds: "Partnering with a well-established and reliable partner will not only benefit Solsquare's established dealer network but also enable the Solsquare team to deliver German engineering standards to its clients."

Before agreeing to the exclusive partnership, both companies already had worked together in 2012 when realising a roof-top installation of 149 kWp for commercial self-consumption at the CYMOT headquarters in Windhoek. CYMOT is a retailer of camping, fishing, cycling and outdoor products. The successful project had encouraged IBC SOLAR and Solsquare to further intensify their cooperation.

IBC SOLAR is internationally established, with subsidiaries and Premium Partners in more than 30 international markets inside and outside Europe. In the thirty years of its existence, premium partnerships have proven useful for IBC SOLAR in many respects. The Premium Partners are well established in their respective markets and familiar with the cultural peculiarities, conventions and legal requirements. So, they are able to offer solutions that precisely meet the specific needs of their customers. In return, IBC SOLAR not only guarantees a reliable supply of high-quality products and unique services, but access to the know-how and experience of one of the leading PV industry pioneers.
