SoLayTec has continued success with Chinese manufacturers

News

SoLayTec has announced a repeat and a new order from two Chinese manufacturers for its InPassion ALD.

The new InPassion ALD user, which is one of the tier one player in China, will start multi cSi PERC development in its in-house R&D centre. Delivery is planned within this month.

The customer which has ordered a second InPassion ALD, is a customer of SoLayTec since 2011.

"Since 2011 SoLayTec is working very closely with this Tier one customer and SoLayTec is proud that they have accepted our InPassion ALD in full production last year", said Roger Görtzen, co-founder of SoLayTec and manager marketing and sales.

"They started PERC research with our InPassion LAB tool in 2011 and moved towards mass production in 2014, starting with our InPassion ALD system with 3 modules (1800wph). This was accepted within 3 months after which they purchased another 3 modules upgrading the tool to 3600wph and at the same time showing the advantage of our modular tool set-up.

So now SoLayTec has reached its next milestone by repeat orders. This clearly shows the equipment readiness for mass production for the PV market." concludes Roger Görtzen.

"The other customer has made the decision to start its own R&D development with the InPassion ALD from Lab-to-Fab. In principle this customer will start with one module, which can deposit at least 600 wph. After pilot testing and validation, the machine can be easily upgraded to mass production by adding the other modules and reach a maximum throughput of 3,600 wph, again showing the advantage of our modular design." said Roger Görtzen.

"Further, it is clear that PERC is gaining a lot of traction in the PV market lately and with this announcement we can state our tools are ready for the job and we can deliver the equipment with lead-times of about 16-20 weeks." concludes Roger Görtzen.
