RCG and AXIS Insurance sign global framework agreement

News

The Renewables Consulting Group Limited ("RCG") and AXIS Insurance, a business segment of AXIS Capital Holdings Limited, has announced they have entered into a global consultancy services framework agreement covering technical, commercial and management consulting services for AXIS Insurance's portfolio of renewable energy assets.

Under the agreement, RCG will work in partnership with AXIS Insurance's renewable energy team to provide greater understanding of the risks and opportunities faced by the global renewable energy industry. This will enable AXIS Insurance to provide its insured clients and brokers with enhanced value and industry leading service.

As well as independent engineering and project appraisals, RCG is assisting AXIS Insurance with claims investigations, expert witness services, management consulting and market intelligence reporting.

Richard Carroll, Senior Vice President and Global Head of Renewable Energy at AXIS Insurance, commented:

"RCG has provided exceptional support to AXIS Insurance over the past year, including engineering services and project surveys. They have strong experience in the renewable energy sector, and we are delighted to have strengthened the relationship to the benefit of our renewables clients."

AXIS Insurance is a leading global provider of specialty lines insurance solutions, including renewable energy coverage. The company covers every aspect of a renewable energy project, including development, construction and commercial operation.

RCG is a leading expert services firm dedicated to the renewable energy industry, headquartered in London and with offices in New York and Amsterdam.

Tom Cain, Vice President and Head of US Renewables at AXIS Insurance, commented:

"Partnering with such a respected renewable energy services firm as RCG provides AXIS Insurance's clients and brokerage partners with enhanced specialty risk solutions in a dynamic and growing sector. RCG has a team of experienced and knowledgeable renewable energy professionals who will help AXIS Insurance leverage our own expertise and resources to further the development of products and services for our clients."

Sebastian Chivers, CEO at The Renewables Consulting Group, continued to say:

"Having worked extensively with Richard, Tom and the rest of the team of renewable energy experts at AXIS Insurance for nearly a decade, I'm tremendously pleased to further strengthen that relationship through this global agreement. AXIS Insurance is a forward-looking company and a great client to work with. The team at RCG have already been supporting AXIS in a wide range of geographies around the world, with both mainstream and emerging technologies. We look forward to working with AXIS Insurance to great effect, and thank them for their continued support."
