Alectris partners with Resco for all-in-one mobile solar O&M tracking

News

Alectris, a global service provider for the integrated care of solar assets, and Resco, a vendor of cross-platform enterprise mobile software, have signed a partnership to integrate Resco functionalities with Alectris’ proprietary solar asset management platform – ACTIS ERP software.=

As solar plants grow in both size and sophistication, there is an increasing need for operations and maintenance services to expand and develop in order to keep pace. Combined with the recent ruling that assets can have a useful life expectancy of up to 35 years, there are many factors to consider when it comes to replacing component parts and planning for ongoing O&M maintenance for the lifecycle of a project.

Recognizing the growing need for advanced O&M in the solar energy sector, Alectris developed ACTIS ERP software as a dedicated, centralized solution for asset owners and managers. The platform aggregates asset management, financial and operational data — facilitating the standardization and automation of business processes for performance optimization, increased efficiencies and cost reduction.

The integration of Resco’s mobile solution for real-time visual planning and tracking, serves to strengthen this offering. A Resco-based application is deployed to technicians’ portable devices in the field, providing improved oversight of fleet operations for O&M managers. The application communicates real-time location, route details and timelines, streamlining logistical decisions and task management.

“This advanced offering is an exciting development for solar asset management, providing 360-degree oversight of O&M activity,” said Vassilis Papaeconomou, CEO of Alectris. “The ACTIS ERP application is used extensively by Alectris field engineers and technicians, and the integration with Resco’s intuitive, user-friendly mobile solution will streamline tasks, including the completion of work orders by filling in checklists and attaching pictures via the application, along with tracking the consumption of spare parts on-site. Furthermore, if a technician is at a remote location without access to WiFi, activities can be logged and stored locally until a connection is established, after which it will be shared with ACTIS ERP software.”

“We are pleased to have been working with Alectris to bring our technology to extend the existing capabilities of ACTIS ERP software,” said Miro Pomsar, CEO of Resco. “We pride ourselves in providing an effective mobile solution, bolstered by first-class security and live location features, and we are confident that it will enable Alectris to increase the safety and efficiency of their field operations.”
