IBC SOLAR and Enphase Energy enter into distribution partnership for microinverters and storage systems

News

IBC SOLAR AG, a global provider of photovoltaic (PV) systems and energy storage, is adding microinverters and storage systems from Enphase Energy Inc. to its product range with immediate effect. Enphase is a global energy management technology company and one of the leading suppliers of microinverter-based solar-plus-storage systems. With this cooperation, IBC SOLAR offers its customers even more options for quick and easy solar system planning and installation. The microinverters are compatible with almost all module types and are particularly suitable for residential rooftops.

With the addition of Enphase solar and storage products, the IBC SOLAR portfolio expands to include another important segment. "Microinverter systems offer numerous advantages for installers and end customers from a technological perspective," explains Britta Beier, Senior Vice President Supply Chain Management, IBC SOLAR. "With a 25-year limited warranty on its microinverters, Enphase's system stands for the highest reliability and thus meets IBC SOLAR's high quality standards. The compatibility with all our modules and mounting systems fits our system concept and the fast, uncomplicated plug-and-play installation creates advantages for our premium partners."

To make the installation of the devices even more convenient, the system provider will also soon offer a new clip solution for IBC SOLAR mounting systems. This allows the inverters to be mounted without tools, as the clip solution is simply clicked into the mounting rails.

Unlike classic systems, with microinverters each solar module receives its own inverter, which are easily connected to each other at 230V level using a pre-assembled cable. This architecture has many advantages, e.g. extensive string design is no longer necessary and shading is compensated for in the best possible way. This also allows any number of modules and makes the system easy to expand.
“We are pleased to partner with IBC SOLAR to provide our microinverters and storage systems to our European customers," says Peter van Berkel, General Manager, Enphase Europe. "We look forward to working with IBC SOLAR and its strong installer network to provide homeowners with reliable, clean energy with our innovative home energy management systems.”

In addition to the microinverters, Enphase's new storage system Encharge, will also be available from IBC SOLAR starting this summer 2021. Solar installers will be able to use Enphase Storage systems for new installations, as well as for retrofitted systems. Enphase is one of a few manufacturers in Europe who will offer both solar and storage products, thereby providing the best possible integration and quality assurance for the residential sector.
