Fronius New features make PV system design and planning even easier

News

The Solar.creator reports illustrate the aspects of cost effectiveness, energy flows and components.

The Fronius Solar.creator online configuration tool has been available since the end of August. Three months later, the first new features have already been added to make life even easier for installers and planners. The integration of e-mobility solutions and recommendations for the optimum battery system further enhance the free tool.

“Fronius Solar.creator comes directly from the Fronius forge and was developed to support our customers in the planning, layout and design of photovoltaic systems,” explains Martin Hackl, Global Director of the Business Unit Solar Energy at Fronius International GmbH. “We also recommend using the reports for consultations or during sales discussions with the end customer. This makes it easy to illustrate the different aspects of cost effectiveness, energy flows and components. The predefined load profiles in the tool help you to select the right consumer profile and provide a detailed estimation of the expected consumption.”

More than just a planning tool

Many of the Solar.creator functions do more than just support the planning of PV systems. From site selection to the finished report, the free tool covers every aspect of online configuration. The efficient connection to various databases (module databases, weather database, integration of Google Maps) generates the best possible result. “By connecting to a weather database, the user receives the insolation data for the selected location,” explains Leonhard Peböck, Product Marketing at Fronius International GmbH.

To ensure optimal and comprehensive system planning, Solar.creator automatically provides suggestions for additional solutions, such as the right battery and, in the future, also a water heating system or an intelligent charging solution for electric cars. Last but not least, the results can be prepared individually and clearly, which helps to support the final sale.

A tool that provides maximum support for planners and sales staff

The fact that users simply log in and out with their existing Solar.web account is particularly practical. In addition, an unlimited number of projects can be planned all under the same user account. The clear display provides a good overview and the high level of user-friendliness guides users step by step through the planning process. “The free Solar.creator is flexible, user-friendly and allows for the fully comprehensive design and simulation of PV systems in combination with electrical loads, battery systems and soon also with electric vehicles. A tool that provides maximum support for both planners and sellers,” concludes Leonhard Peböck.
