Discussions To Set The Future
Eight solar cell makers combine to host upcoming fab managers forum
A group of Fab Managers has decided to work actively with the SEMI based PV Group to improve customer-supplier relations in the photovoltaic industry. For this purpose the group will present a supplier assessment at the event, and a discussion will be held between customers and suppliers in order to improve the current situation.
"The PV Fab Managers Forum intensifies the dialogue between all stake holders of the whole PV supply chain. SCHOTT Solar supports this Forum, in order to be prepared for the challenges the future markets will bring to our production" said Baumbach Norbert, Director Technical Services & Expansion Projects at SCHOTT Solar.
The event will be hosted by the Fab Managers Group of: Deutsche Cell, Ersol, Q-Cells, Scheuten, SCHOTT Solar, Solarwatt, Solland, Sovello, and Sunways.
This year's agenda topics are:
Supplier Assessment
Supply Chain optimization and supplier relations
Supporting the growth: What can initiatives like Solar Valley do?
Improved Process Control and Standardization
The event is designed for executives and business leaders from the PV industry; fab managers; lead engineers from wafer-, cell-, bulk silicon and thin film module manufacturers; plus executives, strategists, product managers and technical experts from suppliers to these industries.
The 3rd PV Group Photovoltaic Fab Managers Forum (PV FMF) will focus on “Supply Chain Management” and is due to take place at the Maritim Conference Centre on 8-9 March 2009 in Dresden, Germany.
