Italian Government Urged To Consider Industry
Company CEO warns of industry confusion from government interference
According to Marco Gehring, Solarday Chief Executive Office: "Italy, thanks to feed in tariff, can count on technological excellences and production tips. Excellences deserving a proper attention by the politicians. As one of the first Italian manufacturer of modules, we ask that this industry could emerge at its best, contributing to the economic development of Italy, also in a new area such as the solar energies. We need, however, clear rules and legal certainty as the continuing controversies of these days only create a climate of uncertainty, discouraging investors and creating confusion among consumers.
We agree in regulating this market so that it could reward the small plants by encouraging local. We believe that new rules are necessary to contrast a speculation that does not allow a healthy growth of the industry.
Incentives are still needed to sustain industry growth in the future. Postponing the discussion to next spring, just means keeping the industry "hostage" of uncertainty, with serious repercussions on sales".
