BISOL Plans 100 MW In Greece

BISOL has signed a contract with the Greek company Avdira Solar to distribute 25 MW of BISOL premium quality PV modules in Greece in next year. BISOL signed the contract with the Greek company Avdira Solar. Avdira Solar have committed themselves to distribute 25 MW of BISOL premium quality photovoltaic modules next year. Both companies have additionally strengthened their relationship by setting a plan of selling 100 MW of BISOL modules in the Greek market in the next three years.

Mr Polyvios Poulios, CEO of Avdira Solar: "I am very pleased to be able to work together with BISOL in the Greek market. After visiting the production facilities in Slovenia we are even more convinced about the high quality of BISOL products and the dedication of BISOL's employees. We strongly believe that the European made BISOL modules will be very successful in Greece due to their outstanding quality and high energy yield."

BISOL PV modules are manufactured within the state-of-the-art automated production environment; they are verified at each step of the production process and pre-sorted according to electrical characteristic providing only positive power output tolerances. PV modules exhibit higher energy yields in low as well as in high irradiation areas and are very resistant to time degradation according to TÜV artificial PV module aging simulation test.

President and CEO of BISOL, Dr. UroÅ¡ Merc commented after signing the contract, "We expect a lot from the Greek market. It is a country with a lot of sunshine and consequently a lot of potential for solar energy. Partnership with Avdira Solar is yet another step in our strategy to become a major player in the European market."

According to the Greek National Renewable Energy Action Plan the target for renewable energy sources in Greece is 20 per cent by 2020. Photovoltaics could account for 16.6 per cent of that installed capacity, meaning 2.2 GW installed in Greece by 2020. Due to the constant efforts to increase market shares in the most important PV markets, expanding the brand recognition and increasing sales in Greece is only one step further to strengthen BISOL's position as the top quality producer of PV modules in the European Union.
