Eclipsall Integrates Selective Emitter Technology Into Panel Production
Eclipsall, an Ontario maker of PV solar panels has announced that the company has integrated selective emitter technology into its manufacturing process.
Selective emitter technology has been proven to be more effective in lower light conditions like those in Ontario. Selective emitter technology enhances solar cell performance by more efficient control of the phosphorous concentration that increases the area of each solar cell for electricity generation. More efficient solar cells helps reduce the cost of production and improves solar developers' returns. Eclipsall manufactures high performance 60 and 72 cell PV modules from its' 160,000 square foot facility in Toronto.
"Introducing selective emitter technology further enhances our product for customers", said Les Lyster, CEO of Eclipsall. "This is another important step along our product road map and we know our customers will benefit from this technology."
Eclipsall Energy Group is a vertically integrated solar company. Already established as a manufacturer of high performance 60 and 72 cell PV modules, the company has since added an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction division, Eclipsall Solar, as well as a project development and financing division, Eclipsall Development. The Eclipsall Energy Group has currently in excess of 400 MW of projects under development in North America, South America, Africa, India, and Europe.
