Sonnedix Acquires Stake In Largest European Solar Plant
Sonnedix has announced the acquisition of the 24MW ground mounted Toul 3 project near the city of Nancy in north-eastern France.
The project was constructed by EDF EN. This 24MW plant is one of three adjacent solar plants forming part of the 115MW Toul-Rosieres solar park, the largest in Europe to date. The solar plant was built in a former NATO air base using one and half million First Solar panels and SMA inverters.
The 115MW PV plant will be operated by EDF EN Services. This solar plant is the seventh and largest of Sonnedix in France.
" This is our second project with EDF EN. We were once again impressed by their professionalism, Sonnedix is delighted to have EDF EN as one of its key partners in France and look forward to continued cooperation with them in other large solar projects in the near future " says Franck Constant, Chairman of Sonnedix.
Toul 3 will start generating solar generated electricity this summer, adding in excess of 26 GWh per year to Sonnedix European portfolio.
