WIRSOL sells Photovoltaic Portfolio of 3 Megawatts in Belgium
WIRSOL Benelux has concluded an agreement with the Danish investment fund Obton A/S to sell a 3.12 megawatt (MW) portfolio grouping five PV power plants installed across Flanders region. Built on industrial rooftops, the recently sold portfolio will have an annual electricity output of nearly 2586 Megawatt hours (MWh).
"Once again, WIRSOL Benelux has demonstrated its capability to deliver large scale solar rooftop projects in time, costs and quality", says Sebastian Muissus, Managing Director of WIRSOL Benelux NV. The projects contribute to Belgium's energy transition and lower the electricity costs for the building owners.
The photovoltaic portfolio was entirely financed by ING Bank. "This was a great opportunity for WIRSOL to deepen its relationship with the local banking partner", says Thierry des Diguères, who is responsible for the Project Financing at WIRSOL Benelux. "The yield spread combined with our special Danish funding structure made this an attractive investment. The cooperation between the WIRSOL team and Obton has been excellent", attests Andreas Ditlev Duckert, Business Development Manager of Obton A/S. With WIRSOL, the Danish investment company, found a good entry into the Benelux solar market.
