CK Solar Korea announce 300MW Solar Power Plant In Pakistan's Baluchistan Province
Korean based CK Solar has announced a 300MW solar plant in Pakistan's largest province, Baluchistan. The company has signed an MOU with the regional government and is one of a growing number of renewable projects in the area. The solar plant will be built near the city of Quetta and costs are estimated at around $900 million.
Pakistan suffers from intermittent and insufficient power supplies and this project will bring much needed relief to the area. There has been no timeline set for the completion of the project that will help develop self sustaining abilities for the Baluchistan government leading to further local development.
