PV CYCLE Deutschland formed to tackle upcoming legal requirements

PV CYCLE Association today announced that it has established a new legal entity PV CYCLE Deutschland GmbH in Munich, Germany. Entirely owned by PV CYCLE Association aisbl, the new entity will be responsible for all operational and legal activities on the German PV market.
Together with PV CYCLE's other country offices, PV CYCLE Deutschland will provide national compliance solutions under the new WEEE regulation. From February 2014 - at the latest -, German manufacturers and importers are obligated to ensure for waste treatment of the PV modules that they put onto the German market. Besides taking back and recycling PV modules, their obligations will also include extensive reporting, product information and financing requirements.
With the announcement of its third national representation, PV CYCLE also presented its German Country Manager Mr. Andreas Hess. Responsible for all business development and compliance activities in Germany, Mr. Hess will further foster PV CYCLE's leading position in Germany and will help to expand the already existing network of collection, transport and recycling partners. The headquarters in Brussels will continue to handle all collection and recycling requests.
