Grupo Clavij announce Israeli project
Spanish enterprise Grupo Clavijo has commenced work on a photovoltaic solar park of 55 MW in the Israeli settlement of Ohad. It was decided to select the SP 1000 model from the Group´s wide range of structures and trackers for this project, named Halutziot. This is a single-axis tracker which stands out due to its robustness, adaptability to the terrain, flexibility in the positioning of photovoltaic modules, and extreme ease of assembly. It comes with a bearing patented by Grupo Clavijo and requires no maintenance.
The facility is expected to be completed in May 2014, and once operational will produce 110,000Mwh per year, providing for up to 55,000 homes. The park will cover an area of 4.5 km in length by 2.5 km in width.
