MOU signed by Kazatomprom and Qatar Solar Energy
The MOU is between the Group of companies of Kazakhstani KazPV project, Qatar company «Qatar Solar Energy» and American Clean Power Innovation on the delivery of silicon, solar cells and wafers to Qatar took place today, on June 20, 2014 in Astana on the industrial site of Astana Solar LLP's plant for the production of solar arrays.
Signatures will be affixed from KazPV by Chairman of Supervisory Board "“ Advisor to the Chairman of the Management Board of NAC Kazatomprom JSC Mr. Azat Betekbayev, from Qatar Solar Energy "“ Director General Mr. Salim Abbassi, from Clean Power Innovation "“ Mr. Kamel Ounadjela.
The MOU is aimed at strengthening strategic development and partnership with Qatar Solar Energy in renewable energy sources. Particularly, execution of this document gives the possibility to Kazakhstan manufacturers to supply Qatar market with solar silicon produced by «KazSilicon» LLP, photovoltaic wafers and cells produced by «Kazakhstan Solar Silicon» LLP. Purification of Kazakhstani silicon to solar grade is made using the company's technology. Being an intellectual proprietor of the technology, Clean Power Innovation will ensure the quality of raw material, delivered to Qatar.
According to the Memorandum the Parties will hold negotiations in the future and settle the volume and terms of delivery of Kazakhstan products to Qatar.
