Ingeteam expands Chilean presence

News

Ingeteam has exceeded120 MW of PV power supplied in Chile. This figure has been achieved thanks to the good results obtained with their inverters, featuring a rated power of 1 MW and a maximum efficiency of 99.1%. These inverters have been installed in a solar plant with a 100 MW power output, being the largest plant in operation in Latin America to date. This plant is located in the Atacama Desert, famous for being the driest place on earth. Thanks to the unbeatable solar radiation levels recorded in this region, the plant is expected to generate up to 270 GWh of energy per year, which will prevent the emission of 135,000 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere.

Ingeteam is to take part, as a Silver Sponsor, in the key renewable energies event in Chile, namely the Chilean International Renewable Energy Congress (CIREC) to be held in Santiago de Chile on the 9th and 10th September (Stand B104). The company will be present at this congress as the leading manufacture of solar inverters in Chile, thanks to the 120 MW supplied to the solar market in this country. Ingeteam is to showcase its latest products in the area of solar inverters for residential facilities and for large PV plants.
