Neoen To Acquire 100% Of French Branch Of Juwi AG

News

Neoen and Juwi AG has announced that they have signed an agreement regarding the sale of 100% of juwi EnR, the French branch of Juwi AG, to Neoen. The transaction is expected to be complete in the coming weeks.

Juwi EnR is one of the leading independent renewable power players in France, with a broad pipeline of wind and solar projects, as well as a strong activity in construction and in operation & maintenance of renewable energy assets.

Xavier Barbaro, CEO of Neoen, said: "The renewable energy sector in France and in Europe is entering a phase of concentration. Neoen intends to be one of the leading aggregators of projects, assets, and talents: the integration of one of the pioneers of the French renewable market is an important step on that path. This acquisition will significantly strengthen our portfolio of projects, and will also let our subsidiary GenSun become one of the leaders in the field of EPC and O&M contracts for solar parks in France."

Dirk Retzlaff, Managing Director of Juwi international GmbH, on behalf of the Juwi group, said: "It is a great opportunity for Juwi EnR to join Neoen which is one of the most dynamic and ambitious renewable groups in France. This transaction will ensure the success for Juwi EnR projects in development, and the continued quality of service for current Juwi EnR contracts."
