Irish Solar Energy Association Announces Dates for Annual Conference

News

The Irish Solar Energy Association (ISEA), has announced the appointment of Angel Business Communications (ABC) as event organiser for the ISEA annual conference event, Solar Ireland 2017.

To be held in Croke Park, Dublin between 28-29 November, Solar Ireland 2017 will play host to key stakeholders in the Irish and international solar industry. The agenda will include sessions on; project development, utility scale solar, roof-top solar, policy support and implementation, best practice in planning, solar and community, solar and farming, grid connection, and financing solar amongst others. With an expected 350 delegates, 30 speakers, 6 keynotes, 6 panel sessions, and 25 exhibitors, Solar Ireland 2017 will be a master class in succeeding in solar on the island. This is the annual "˜go-to' event for the solar industry in Ireland.

David Maguire, Co-Founder of ISEA and Chairman since 2013 commented; "ISEA are delighted to appoint Angel Business Communications as organiser of our 2017 annual solar conference and we are looking forward to working with the experienced ABC team. As the solar industry in Ireland begins to establish itself, 2017 will be a watershed year with the announcement of the new support mechanism for renewable energy. As the last EU Member State to provide a support for solar PV, the Irish market is widely expected to be a robust and sustainable market. As the cheapest form of renewable generation after on-shore wind in Ireland, solar will play an important role in Ireland's low carbon energy future. ISEA is committed to promoting the deployment of solar in a sustainable manner that delivers real value to the consumer and creates economic, environmental and social benefits to Ireland."

Jackie Cannon, Publishing Director at ABC and Event Director for Solar Ireland 2017 said "It is a great privilege to have the opportunity to work with ISEA on Solar Ireland 2017, as the island embraces the opportunities afforded by solar energy. Through our Smart Solar and Solar + Power brands we have had the chance to support the solar community in UK. It is especially pleasing to do the same in Ireland. The appetite for affordable, reliable and cost effective energy is immense. Ireland is ready."

Registration will open on May 24 and there are many opportunities for companies to be involved as a speaker, sponsor or delegate.
