Schletter Group announce new managing director for Japan
Schletter Japan K.K has a new managing director. As of now, Eric Roujolle will be in charge of the company. From Yokohama, Schletter Japan K.K exclusively markets the products of the Schletter Group.
"Just like all of Asia, Japan is a very important market for us, and it is showing great growth figures," Tom Graf, CEO of the Schletter Group, said. "We are glad to say that in Eric Roujolle we have found a manager of great experience as well as knowledge of the Japanese market. He will further drive our growth in this region." The main suppliers of Schletter Japan K.K are the Schletter Group's production facilities in Shanghai in China. As a result of high demand, these are currently operating at full capacity. Schletter is one of the leading nondomestic suppliers of PV mounting systems in Asia.
Tom Graf also wanted to thank Dominik Gruetzner, the erstwhile managing director, for his accomplishments. Gruetzner took over as managing director of Schletter Japan K.K in 2012 and now leaves the company at his own request. His successor Roujolle has over 20 years of leadership experience in the energy sector, 10 of these in Japan. This includes Mitsubishi, where he was commercial director in the PV segment; Photowatt International, as managing director, and MSK, as sales and managing director. In addition to this, Roujolle acts as consultant and business developer for large international corporations and start-ups in the renewable energies sector.
Schletter Japan K.K was established in 2012 and has installed over 1.8 gigawatts of PV capacity since then. This includes projects for major customers such as Sharp, Kyocera, Toshiba, Hitachi and Toyota, some of which were large-scale open area installations with particularly demanding topographies or ground conditions, for instance in volcanic areas. The sales company in Japan employs a staff of 25. The Schletter production facilities in Shanghai "“ merely a two-hour flight away "“ has 450 employees. Both companies are part of the Schletter Group, whose holding company is currently undergoing an investor process in order to reposition their long-term finances. Now that several definitive bids have come in, the bidding process is entering its final phase so that a conclusion can be expected in the near future.
