New Leader For Circadian

News
Circadian Solar appoints Hans-Juergen Cramer as Chairman
Circadian Solar, the concentrated photovoltaic (CPV) systems supplier, has announced the appointment of Hans-Juergen Cramer as Chairman. The strategic appointment comes as Circadian Solar moves towards volume manufacture of its CPV systems. The former CEO of Vattenfall Europe has nearly 30 years of experience in the energy, utilities and renewables sectors and will bring his extensive knowledge and understanding to Circadian Solar in his role as Chairman.

Cramer, prior to his role as CEO of Vattenfall Europe, had been involved with the BEWAG Group of utility companies since 1981 in a range of management and board level positions. Since the 1990s Cramer has also been involved with energy industry committees and panels, as well sitting on several German government working groups. Since leaving Vattenfall Europe in 2008, Cramer has become more actively involved with renewable energy companies. He has recently been appointed as Director of the German Climate Innovation Centre of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). As a European network of excellence, the EIT is to grow the European Union's innovation capacity to find solutions to major global challenges in the fields of climate change, sustainable energy and information and communication technologies.

Speaking on his appointment, Cramer commented, "Circadian Solar is genuinely leading the way in terms of its CPV technology - its approach to developing its technology has resulted in the highest performance solution in the industry. I feel strongly that the technology can truly enhance the lives of people living in sunbelt regions by supplying low cost, reliable energy."

CEO of Circadian Solar, Jeroen Haberland, said, "I have known Hans-Juergen for many years and I fully expect him to have a significant impact on our business. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable of renewable energy and our markets, but he also has great experience in helping companies such as ours achieve their full commercial potential."
